Troubleshooting Email Routing

Routing email through your Exchange server.

Problem: Cannot route email from the CAMS server to our Exchange server.

Possible Solution: If you want mail from CAMS to relay to your main mail server, please make the following changes.

  1. Give permissions on your main mail server to accept mail relayed from the CAMS server
  2. On the CAMS server, in the IIS mmc
  1. Right-click on Default SMTP Virtual Server, select Properties
  2. Click on the Delivery tab, then the Advanced button
  3. In the Smart host field, put the IP address of your main mail server in brackets ie. [10.10.10.10]. The brackets are necessary when specifying an IP address.
