Registration Modes

When registering a student, there is a choice between Register (Official) and Unofficial (Pre-registration). There are a few differing Characteristics of the two registration modes:

Unofficial Registration

All registration-related transactions are transferred to the Pre-Registration Billing Batch.
Authorization needs to take place to move students to Official Registration status and to move transactions to the Registration Batch.
Upon authorization, tuition charges are recalculated and true tuition transactions are added to the Registration batch awaiting distribution to the student ledgers. This process provides a clean bill. All changes made during the pre-registration period will not show on the student ledger or statement.

Official Registration

All registration-related transactions are transferred to the Registration Billing Batch.
Since authorization is not part of this mode, you do not have the opportunity to have CAMS recalculate the tuition and fees and provide a clean, clutter free statement of account.
