        Registration Modes
When registering a student, there is a choice between Register (Official)
and Unofficial (Pre-registration). There are a few differing Characteristics
 of the two registration modes:
        Unofficial Registration

            - All registration-related transactions are transferred
	 to the Pre-Registration Billing
	 Batch.

            - Authorization needs to take place to move students
to Official Registration status and to move transactions to the Registration
	 Batch.

            - Upon authorization, tuition charges are recalculated
and true tuition transactions are added to the Registration batch
awaiting distribution to the student ledgers. This process provides
a clean bill. All changes made during the pre-registration period
will not show on the student ledger or statement.

        Official Registration

            - All registration-related transactions are transferred
	 to the Registration Billing Batch.

            - Since authorization is not part of this mode, you
do not have the opportunity to have CAMS recalculate the tuition and
fees and provide a clean, clutter free statement of account.
