CAMS Enterprise Update Release 21.0.1

This document describes the items deployed in the 21.0.1 CAMS Enterprise Update Release. Enhancements, modifications, and system corrections are included and categorized primarily by module. Those items needing CAMS Manager attention have been noted as such. For detailed information and instructions on functionality additions and changes, refer to the online help files located in the CAMS Enterprise application. Note that portal updates are not automatically installed on your site and must be applied by your institution.

Only Schools using CAMS for Texas Reporting will need to apply this update right away and others can wait until next quarterly release to apply both togeher.

THECB is asking schools to submit end of semester reports more quickly than is indicated in the CBM manual for Spring 2021. Please keep in mind that, for accurate results, CBM001 must be run before any other reports. CBM0E1 must be run before any other end of Semester reports. First CBM001; Second CBM0E1; then all other End of Semester Reports.

General

  1. For Texas high school students taking college level courses for dual credit the Location Code of Item 16 has been updated for CBM00S.
  2. Excluded students from course enrollment counts in Texas CBM reports if they withdraw from those courses on semester census date for FALL 2020 - CBM00S & CBM0E1.
  3. In Texas Faculty Report, CBM008, count students in Faculty schedule only if students enroll on or before semester census date and do not withdraw after semester census date. Improved accuracy to determine the contract length for faculty and corrected format reporting of faculty of unknown ethnic origin.
  4. Improve sorting of course and student categories in CBM001 to more accurately reflect student status and course type. Do not include students in classes in Texas CBM00S report if they withdraw from those courses on semester census date. Do not double count student hours if some students are in more than one Texas category.
  5. Discrepancies have been corrected between Beginning of Semester reports CBM001 and CBM004 report as required by Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Corrections have been made between End of Semester reports CBM0E1 and CBM00S report.
