What's New In CAMS Enterprise - Update Release 20.2.0

This document describes the items deployed in the 20.2.0 CAMS Enterprise Update Release. Enhancements, modifications, and system corrections are included and categorized primarily by module. Those items needing CAMS Manager attention have been noted as such. For detailed information and instructions on functionality additions and changes, refer to the online help files located in the CAMS Enterprise application and/or the updated PDF manuals which can be downloaded from the CAMS Community Website. Note that portal updates are not automatically installed on your site and must be applied by your institution.

Due to RDS.DataSpace replacement calls, it is now necessary to re-register the Service Broker assembly required for web service access to CAMS Enterprise:

On the CAMS IIS Server, open an elevated Command Prompt window
Change your current directory to the CAMS Enterprise Installation Path
Change your current directory to CAMSServices\ServiceBroker and run reg.bat
Type exit and press enter to close the Command Prompt window

General

CAMS Enterprise primary navigation button “CAMS Community” now redirects to the new CAMS Community “Community 4U” portal.
Added Student ID to Upper left corner of Student Portal, it is displayed between Student’s Name and Current term.
Texas Reports TFADS updated.

Admissions

Corrected error received during merge prospect regarding identify as choice.

Billing

For the 1098-T Export the special characters have been removed from report data to be more consistent with IRS government compliance guidelines.

Registration

The Cognate field will now copy to the new Programs Record.
Fixed issue with Degree Audit Student Evaluation not saving records after navigating between tabs.
Fixed issue when attempting to save narrative text to a transfer class from a different school in CAMS > Registration > Academic Transfer.
Removed unused Item from CAMS Menu: Registration > Non-Traditional.

Faculty

The field Identifies As has been added into CAMS to record student non-binary gender identity, other functional areas will be added in future releases.

Financial Aid

Removed obsolete item from CAMS Menu: Financial Aid > Setup > Award Sequences.

Housing

Added new column “Email” in the Housing > Reports > Room BYOR when they print using ‘Directory by Building (Students)’ report format.

Tools

COD Export accurately produces results when user selects both Official and Unofficial courses at the same time.

Portals

Student

Added Student ID to Upper left corner of Student Portal, it is displayed between Student’s Name and Current term.

Faculty

In Grade Submission the hardcoded 3 decimal place rounding of GPAs have been replaced, added null checking and configurable decimal place rounding/truncation display (using CAMSConfig.GPARoundTruncate and CAMSConfig.GPADecimals fields).
Fixed division by zero error for grade calculation.
