What's New In CAMS Enterprise - Update Release 20.1.0

This document describes the items deployed in the 20.1.0 CAMS Enterprise Update Release. Enhancements, modifications, and system corrections are included and categorized primarily by module. Those items needing CAMS Manager attention have been noted as such. For detailed information and instructions on functionality additions and changes, refer to the online help files located in the CAMS Enterprise application and/or the updated PDF manuals which can be downloaded from the CAMS Community Website. Note that portal updates are not automatically installed on your site and must be applied by your institution.

Due to RDS.DataSpace replacement calls, it is now necessary to re-register the Service Broker assembly required for web service access to CAMS Enterprise:

• On the CAMS IIS Server, open an elevated Command Prompt window
• Change your current directory to the CAMS Enterprise Installation Path
• Change your current directory to CAMSServices\ServiceBroker and run reg.bat
• Type exit and press enter to close the Command Prompt window

1. General

• COD Schema updated to 4.0d version.
• Performance improvements to Degree Audit in Registration.
• Code optimized for Financial Aid Award Letters printing.
• Updated the 1098-T store procedure.

2. Admissions

• The field, "Identifies As:" has been added to record student non-binary gender identity, it will be added to other functional areas in future releases.

3. Registration

• Enhancement three columns added to the Registration Directory Merge Export Report: Degree Name, Conferred Date, and Military added at the end in the merge export report.
• Performance improvements to Registration > Degree Audit > Student Evaluation.
• Fixed Advisor to load "None Selected" as default for student status when creating a new Student Program for selected Term.
• Added the ability to add a pre-requisite to a course when the added course does not have a type.

4. Financial Aid

• The COD Import process was updated to import the following new Direct Loan Award Level Response data which was added in COD schema 4.0d which included; InformedBorrowingComplete, InformedBorrowingCompletionDate, InformedBorrowingID. The student's Informed Borrowing Information can be viewed in Financial Aid > Maintenance on the Financial Status lower grid of the page.
• For some institutions, the large number of awards increased the time it took to print award notification letters to an unreasonable extent. The code has been optimized so letters can be produced more quickly when large numbers of students are involved.
• Fixed bug of receiving an error when attempting to delete a worker in Financial Aid > Work Study > Maintenance.

5. Housing

• Miscellaneous updates to the Access Campus functionality in the Housing module.

6. Health

• Student Health Page "TB Test Results" now includes two additional options for selection, Active and Latent with the original Negative and Positive.

7. Devlopment

• Reincorporated the plus button for applicable records in Development > Constituent > Ledger > Pledge Tab.

8. CAMS Manager

• Fixed a bug in the Faculty portal that was giving a 500 error when attempting to submit through the direct grade submit screen when multiple values are selected for the "Use Email Address" field in CAMS Manager > CAMS Portal > Portal Configuration > Faculty Configuration.
• Various bug fixes within CAMS Manager > Lookup Table Options > Email Templates.
• Made it easier to populate new State Reporting Code fields for Buildings and Rooms.

9. Tools

• Updated COD Export to use Version 4.0d of the Common Record XML schema for the 2020-2021 Award Year. 2021 was added to the Program Year drop down and 4.0d was added to the Schema Version drop down on the COD Export Criteria page. The ProgramCIPCodeYear tag has been added to the following disbursement blocks in the COD Export: Pell, DLPLUS, DLSubsidized, DLUnsubsidized, and TEACH.

10. Portals

            Student

• Fixed UserID overflow error on Portal Forum.
• Student address added to printable Billing Ledger of Student Portal.

            Faculty

• Fixed a bug in the Faculty portal that was giving a 500 error when attempting to submit through the direct grade submit screen when multiple values are selected for the "Use Email Address" field.

            Forum

• Fixed UserID overflow error.
