What's New In CAMS Enterprise - Update Release 19.2.0

This document describes the items deployed in the 19.2.0 CAMS Enterprise Update Release. Enhancements, modifications, and system corrections are included and categorized primarily by module. Those items needing CAMS Manager attention have been noted as such. For detailed information and instructions on functionality additions and changes, refer to the online help files located in the CAMS Enterprise application and/or the updated PDF manuals which can be downloaded from the CAMS Community Website. Note that portal updates are not automatically installed on your site and must be applied by your institution.

Due to RDS.DataSpace replacement calls, it is now necessary to re-register the Service Broker assembly required for web service access to CAMS Enterprise:

• On the CAMS IIS Server, open an elevated Command Prompt window
• Change your current directory to the CAMS Enterprise Installation Path
• Change your current directory to CAMSServices\ServiceBroker and run reg.bat
• Type exit and press enter to close the Command Prompt window

1. General

1. Replaced RDS.DataSpace calls for Billing, Tools, and Placement modules.
2. 2019 - 2020 COD Message Classes are now available for import.
3. Updated logic of the 1098-T store procedure.
4. Resolved lag issue in the Faculty Portal for submitting grades.
5. Added a “Return to Login” link from the CAMS logout page to go back to the CAMS login screen.

2. Financial Aid

1. Additional Eligibility Indicator on the CAMS COD export can be set through Financial Aid > Maintenance > Awards tab. A COD AEI checkbox field was added to the Financial Aid Award Detail Entry page.

3. Parking

1. Access Campus restriction functionality has been completed for the Parking module. Now when a user has their Access Campus set to a specific campus, user will be restricted to searching for students with that specific Access Campus within the Parking module.

4. Tools

1. The CAMS EDE Award field length for the “FUND CURRENT TOTAL” and “FUND PREVIOUS TOTAL” are now 6 characters long instead of 5 characters long for the EDExpress Awards Import layout.
2. New field, Session Type, added to Term Calendar Lookup detail page. This field is used to populate the SPEEDE EDI Export file’s SES record (SES04 element)
3. The COD import now checks if a Student Status Record (SSR) was created with a StudentUID associated.

5. Faculty Portal

1. Added SELECT ALL/DESELECT ALL checkbox for the Faculty Portal Submit Grades Step 2 and Resubmit Grades Step 2 screens so that all the grades can be submitted quickly.
