What's New In CAMS Enterprise - Update Release 19.1.0

This document describes the items deployed in the 19.1.0 CAMS Enterprise Update Release. Enhancements, modifications, and system corrections are included and categorized primarily by module. Those items needing CAMS Manager attention have been noted as such. For detailed information and instructions on functionality additions and changes, refer to the online help files located in the CAMS Enterprise application and/or the updated PDF manuals which can be downloaded from the CAMS Community Website. Note that portal updates are not automatically installed on your site and must be applied by your institution.

Due to RDS.DataSpace replacement calls, it may be necessary to re-register the Service Broker assemblies required for web services access to CAMS Enterprise:

1. General

  1. Replaced RDS.DataSpace calls for CAMS Manager, Development, Health, Housing, and Parking modules.
  2. Corrected an issue with Campus News & Alerts that would not display institutional feed data on the CAMS Enterprise Home Page.
  3. Optimized loading times for the Master Courses and Student Status screens.

2. Admissions

  1. Increased the maximum length of High School and College Names (including International names) to 150 characters.
  2. Resolved an issue with updating the Student ID field that would sometimes result in a lengthy delay.
  3. Closed logical loopholes that allowed Non-Transfer, Non-Earned degrees to be conferred via the Change Student’s More tab. Access for degree records with Graduation and/or Conferred Dates will be restricted from the Admissions module unless they are marked as both Transfer and Earned degrees.

3. Registration

  1. Improved logic for Schedule Registration setup that sometimes caused a validation error when the 12 o’clock hour was used.
  2. Resolved an error that would occur when adding Degrees if a zero-ID record exists in the StudentDegrees table.
  3. Adding courses to a program in Degree Audit Setup using the Copy One From Master method will now correctly include an SRMasterID association.
  4. Corrected a problem that sometimes failed to retrieve a comprehensive course list when processing Attendance Data Entry.

4. Billing

  1. Updated the 1098-T Export logic to no longer include the Amount Code value (2) for Debits reporting.
  2. Fixed a problem where student balances were not being updated on Herring Bank’s SFTP site.
  3. Processing ACH and Credit Card Payments from the Billing Batch will no longer cause syntax errors.

5. Financial Aid

  1. Financial Aid BYOR reports will no longer cause an error when Campus-restricted users bypass the Student Criteria tab and fail to enter Registration Status Term criteria.

6. Parking

  1. Corrected an issue with New Assignments where the Owner selection grid would not display.

7. CAMS Manager

  1. Searching for Users In Role while including Department criteria in the Role Administration screen will no longer cause an error.

8. Tools

  1. Updated the New York State SIRIS report to more accurately reflect Non-State Supported credit hours. In addition, a new curricular attribute list has been added to Master Courses and Offering Maintenance course details for Applied Learning reporting.
  2. Updated Texas State Reports to account for multiple High School records when calculating student statistics, correctly generate export data and local files, and reduce encountered errors during processing.
  3. Removed deprecated Canadian Exports from the CAMS Main Menu.
  4. COD Export criteria has been updated to include the 2020 Program Year.

This release does not contain Portal updates, SSI updates, or Report updates.
