What's New In CAMS Enterprise - Update Release 18.2.1

This document describes the items deployed in the 18.2.1 CAMS Enterprise Update Release. Enhancements, modifications, and system corrections are included and categorized primarily by module. Those items needing CAMS Manager attention have been noted as such. For detailed information and instructions on functionality additions and changes, refer to the online help files located in the CAMS Enterprise application and/or the updated PDF manuals which can be downloaded from the CAMS Community Website. Note that portal updates are not automatically installed on your site and must be applied by your institution.

Due to RDS.DataSpace replacement calls, it may be necessary to re-register the Service Broker assemblies required for web services access to CAMS Enterprise:

• On the CAMS IIS Server, open an elevated Command Prompt window
• Change your current directory to the CAMS Enterprise Installation Path
• Change your current directory to CAMSServices\ServiceBroker and run reg.bat
• Type exit and press enter to close the Command Prompt window

1. General

1. Replaced RDS.DataSpace calls for Admissions, Registration, and Meeting modules.
2. Various fixes and tweaks to 1098-T processes and related screens. (See Billing section below.)

2. Registration

1. Corrected a syncing issue with Master Course Pre-Requisite Formulas that sometimes failed to update the formula displayed in the detail page with the formula recently updated in the database.
2. Optimized performance when retrieving and entering Attendance data for courses with high enrollment.

3. Billing

1. Amended the stored procedure to account for a lack of Deductible Aid transactions to calculate. Students with only out-of-pocket and scholarship/grant transactions should see their Box 1 amounts corrected.
2. TransDocs marked as 1098 Scholarship/Grant that were not included in the Financial Award Reference Table would previously see their amounts doubled in Box 1. The stored procedure now accounts for scholarships/grants that are not categorized as financial aid awards.
3. Aging Reports will no longer report zero amounts in the OVER 120 column for students with overall balances when Include Batch Entries: Yes criteria is used.

4. Financial Aid

1. Prioritized Packaging would in some cases under-award aid due to a miscalculation with Lifetime Limits. This has been corrected.

5. Tools

1. Updated the Test Scores File Type for ACT Assessment 2016-2017 to include subsequent years. The File Type will now read “ACT Assessment 2016-2017 and Higher” and can be used to import scores for 2017-2018.

This release does not contain Portal updates, SSI updates, or Report updates.
