What's New In CAMS Enterprise - Update Release 17.3.0

General

  1. CAMS Version label has been added to CAMS login screen so that CAMS version is visible before user logs in.

Admissions

  1. Corrected an issue that when deleting a contact association that is used in more than one prospect, CAMS deleted the association from all prospects.
  2. Searching on Prospect screen now requires at least one field to be populated in order to be consistent with the student search screen.
  3. Email messages sent from Admissions >Prospect >Reports >BYOR will now allow HTML text.
  4. Access Campus restriction functionality has been completed for the Admissions module. Now when a user has their Access Campus set to a specific campus, user will be restricted to searching for students with that specific Access Campus within the Admissions module. Other modules will be reviewed and necessary corrections will be made in a future release.

Registration

  1. Corrected an issue where in Degree Audit when Populate Group Automatically was set to Yes, CAMS was using the flags that were for Automatic = 'No' groups instead of using the flags on the SQL page.
  2. Updated Student Activity Schedule (Registration >Academic >Schedule) report to count withdrawn courses towards non-dropped credits.
  3. Cognate field has been added to the Program detail page in the Student Status Record.
  4. Refined code to prevent false positive repeat flags for courses that were not intended to be repeats.
  5. Resolved inconsistencies with GPA decimal positions in Registration >Academic >Maintenance, Registration >Academic >Transcripts >Official/Advisors Transcript, and Registration >Degree Audit >Student Evaluation.
  6. Corrected an issue that when configuring a Group with a Group Formula in Degree Audit, CAMS was incorrectly registering courses with CourseID values beginning with a letter when selecting each course field from the drop-downs.
  7. Course ID field in the Course Selection of Mass Registration has been updated to accept alphanumeric values. Previously it was only accepting numeric values.

Billing

  1. Resolved an issue where an error was occurring when attempting to authorize within the cashier entry screen.
  2. Billing >Authorize process was not filtering students correctly and picking up students from other campuses not selected in the criteria. This has been corrected.
  3. Made a correction to the Detail by TransDoc GL report because the TransDate column was no longer appearing.
  4. Aging by Terms report was excluding transactions made ON the cutoff date beyond the zero hour. This has been corrected so those transactions on the cutoff day are included.

Financial Aid

  1. Issue of Grad Plus loan information not displaying in Financial Aid Maintenance has been resolved.

Development

  1. Corrected an issue that when initiating Working-to-do, constituent activities were being duplicated.

CAMS Manager Module

  1. When updating a Username or Password in CAMS Manager >CAMS Portal >Portal Configuration >Payment Configuration it was not saving. This has been corrected.
  2. Missing grades grid was not always showing correct catalog name associated with the grade during the Rebuild Repeats and Rebuild Grades processes.

Tools

  1. CBM009- Graduates report has been added to the Texas State Reports.
  2. 2018-2019 COD Message classes are now able to be imported.
  3. The ISIR Layout and Full ISIR Report have been updated for the 2018-2019 year.
  4. When awards are deleted from the COD Export, the Loan Info and Summary tabs will now update with the new award amounts. Previously the amounts were not updating on the tabs, even though the correct amount was exported.
  5. NSLC Export data for Leave of Absence students will no longer report student load values from manually created Student Status records for future terms.

Portals

How to Update Portals

***CAMS Manager Action Needed

Portal files will be downloaded to your CAMS Enterprise \ Portal Updates directory.

If you do not (or have not yet) customized your portals, follow these instructions: MOVE all files from the CAMS Enterprise\Portal Updates\[PortalName] folder to the installation directory for the matching portal. Do not copy the folders but only the files in those sub-folders to the same sub-folder in the matching portal folder.

If you do customize your portals follow these instructions: After making a backup of your customized portal pages, move the stock portal files for this update to the installation directory for your specific Portal. Then apply your customizations to the new, stock portal files.

 

Faculty Portal

  1. Assignments are now able to be deleted in the faculty portal.
  2. Corrected an issue where the TimeFrom, TimeTo and BaseAttendanceHours in the RoomSchedules table was being changed after a faculty member entered in attendance through the faculty portal.
  3. Resolved an issue where emails were not being sent when grades were submitted.

Graduate Application Portal

  1. Corrected an issue where an extra apostrophe was being added to accounts created.
