What's New In CAMS Enterprise - Update Release 17.2.0

General

  1. Reduced the number of pop-up alerts for users with Read Only access to CAMS modules.

Registration

  1. Room Conflict Report was not displaying any data. This has been corrected and now report is displaying accurate data.
  2. Corrected an issue with Block Registration erroneously creating Student Status records for ineligible students.
  3. Copying Grade Standards from another Master Course will no longer give a script error.
  4. Corrected an issue where multiple active Refund Policies in the Cost Table caused duplicate course entries to display in Registration screens.
  5. Corrected an issue with the Attendance BYOR where criteria for Major was being ignored.
  6. Corrected an issue where Transfer Courses copied from Master Courses would sometimes not save to the Courses Transferred grid.
  7. Updated the Refund Groups tab in Tuition and Refunds to replace the "Last Period Date" column with "Number of Days" when Refund Policy: Daily is used.
  8. Enrollment Verification report will now exclude audited courses from calculations.
  9. Added a descriptive error message when attempting to delete a Degree Audit course that is included in a Group Formula.
  10. Transfer "Match" Equivalency columns were previously removed from the Transfer Courses screen. These have been replaced.
  11. Transfer course equivalencies are now displaying the MatchDept, MatchCourse, MatchCourseType, and MatchCourseName fields in addition to the MatchSRMasterID.

Billing

  1. Corrected an issue where the Billing Batch Edit List Multi-Currency report sometimes displayed incorrect currency types.
  2. Corrected an issue where a course's Refund Schedule value would display on the Statement and Schedule report.
  3. Corrected an issue where recalculating unofficial registration charges intermittently dropped Registration Fees from the Pre-Registration batch.

Financial Aid

  1. Updated the Award Letter report to display its default layout and verbiage even when no award records are returned.
  2. Lookup by SSN in Single Student packaging was not returning matches even though a matching SSN existed and has been corrected.
  3. The Update button in Financial Aid >Maintenance >More, User Defined Fields now saves entered information and closes the window as expected.

Health

  1. Added additional immunizations to the Immunization Page in Health Maintenance.
  2. User Defined fields have been added in the Health Module so that users can record institution specific information not already available in the UI.

Development

  1. During a Constituent Re-Transfer, certain fields (like Salutation, Suffix, and Spouse First/Last Name) were not carrying over to the Constituent Profile. This has been corrected.
  2. Editing the donor on a development transaction in batch status was not saving. This has been corrected and now the update will save.
  3. Inactive Pledge Frequency reference entries will no longer show in the Frequency drop-down for pledge transaction details.
  4. Transferring and Re-Transferring students to Development would occasionally populate erroneous Degree information on the Constituent Profile. This has been corrected.
  5. A Matching Gift value of Yes in the Constituent Profile's Employment Detail behaved inconsistently when the Employer record was updated rather than added. This has been corrected.

Faculty

  1. The Faculty BYOR's Email Message format should no longer give a response error.

CAMS Manager Module

  1. Functionality has been added to restrict CAMS Enterprise users from distributing a billing batch that is not part of the Access Campus the user belongs to for security reasons.
  2. Glossary table entries with no Display Text previously caused issues with blank drop-downs. Display Text is now a required field for new and modifiable Glossary entries.
  3. Corrected an issue where changes to CAMS password preferences were not saving.

Tools

  1. Texas State Report CBM002: Criteria tab has been revamped to reference updated Test Scores tables and conform with similar state reports.
  2. Degrees will no longer be reported to NSLC if the NSLC Degree Level value is blank in the Earned Degrees Reference Table.
  3. Corrected an issue where COD Import would not properly update certain Contact fields (like Country of Citizenship and Date of Birth) in the database.
  4. When importing PLUS loan files, the applications were also being imported into the student's sibling’s financial aid records. This has been corrected and is now only being imported for the student associated with the application.
  5. Test Score Imports using improper formats previously resulted in a runtime error. The import screen now specifies the correct format and provides an appropriate error message.
  6. Corrected an issue where COD export was excluding certain values for awards with PELL or TEACH COD Award types.

Portals

How to Update Portals

***CAMS Manager Action Needed

Portal files will be downloaded to your CAMS Enterprise \ Portal Updates directory.

If you do not (or have not yet) customized your portals, follow these instructions: MOVE all files from the CAMS Enterprise\Portal Updates\[PortalName] folder to the installation directory for the matching portal. Do not copy the folders but only the files in those sub-folders to the same sub-folder in the matching portal folder.

If you do customize your portals follow these instructions: After making a backup of your customized portal pages, move the stock portal files for this update to the installation directory for your specific Portal. Then apply your customizations to the new, stock portal files.

 

Faculty Portal

  1. When registering students in the Faculty Portal, a Student Status record was created even if the registration was not complete. This has been corrected and a status record is not created until the registration process is complete.
  2. Corrected an issue where faculty with appropriate permissions were restricted from adding and editing Student Notes in the Faculty Portal.
  3. Calculating Mid-Term and Final grades will now apply the correct formula when Assignment Weighting is enabled and active for a course.

Student Portal

  1. Notes in the student calendar were being placed all on one line even with line breaks. This has been corrected and the calendar formats correctly.
