What's New In CAMS Enterprise - Update Release 17.1.0

Admissions

  1. Prospect merge function was not retaining document tracking records for both records. This has been corrected and now retains all documents from both records when merged.
  2. Merge information link will now display on the name tab window and user does not need to switch tabs to see the link if there is merge history.
  3. Added functionality to Prospect BYOR Activity Summary to match functionality in Student BYOR Activity Summary.
  4. Added High School Code and Code type to BYOR selection criteria. Code type defaults to CEEBACT.
  5. Added High School Code and Code type to Prospect BYOR selection criteria. Code type defaults to CEEBACT.

Registration

  1. Mass Registration now pulls all courses to select from for schools with a large number of campuses.
  2. Previously transferred courses were not saving because they were not linked to a master course. This has been corrected and now are saving and available for lookup if previously transferred.
  3. An update has been made and now the system will allow users to delete multiple fee records without any errors and if there is no fee record, the delete button is disabled.
  4. Updated IPEDS Institutional Characteristics procedure to use current Admissions Test structure in CAMS for accurate report data.
  5. Revised IPEDS reports to reflect requirements in establishing annual groups of first time, full time, degree seeking students.
  6. Code was revised for IPEDS Institutional Characteristics and Twelve-Month Enrollment to prevent reports from timing out.
  7. The results/exceptions in Mass Registration now display the Department, Course Number, Type and section along with the Course Name upon failure to register student for a course.
  8. Added user friendly messages when a user attempts to delete a course that is used in a Pre-Requisite or Co-Requisite formula.
  9. Issue has been corrected where registration schedule conflict warning was not denoting the time of the conflicting courses.
  10. Issue has been corrected where audit fee was not being refunded when using Standard Full Time billing mode.
  11. Issue has been corrected where fees were not being charged correctly when student drops and adds additional courses.

Financial Aid

  1. Origination fees are now truncating instead of rounding to match COD.
  2. Full ISIR Report for 2017-2018 imported ISIRs was showing line ‘Type of 2016 Tax Return Used’. This has been corrected to ‘Type of 2015 Tax Return Used’.
  3. 9 Month Cost of Attendance field has been added to Financial Aid >Maintenance.

Development

  1. Corrected an issue in which multiple transactions were unable to be voided in the ledger without closing out of the screen.

CAMS Manager Module

  1. Added the ability to determine whether GPAs will round or truncate (defaults to round).
  2. StudentIDSeq was not saving upon closing the screen in CAMS Manager >Configuration >General 2 Tab. This has been fixed and now is saving.
  3. FlyWire has been added as an online payment provider.

Tools

  1. CBM00A Texas report has had 2 fields added and formatting has been updated.
  2. Added 2 fields to the NSLC export criteria so that you can exclude students of a specific college level and/or within a specific GPA Group.
  3. Performance of the Mass Update Audit process has been improved.
  4. ACT/SAT Import was failing when import file had duplicate test results. This has been corrected and now the file will import successfully.
  5. Added the ability to mass add a student activity for a group of students based on student risk items.
  6. Updated Texas THECB report CBM008 to accurately report faculty salaries.
  7. Updated Texas THECB reports CBM001, CBM004, CBM00A and CBM00C to reflect new revision in Texas data requirements.
  8. Revised NYS SIRIS report to return a NULL value for studentSUNYid when students have not been assigned an ID.
  9. Updated NYS SIRIS procedures to use current Admissions Test structure in CAMS for accurate report data.
  10. Revised TFADS report to reflect changes in Texas THECB requirements.
  11. COD Schema version has been updated to 4.0c per COD guidelines.

How to Update Portals

***CAMS Manager Action Needed

Portal files will be downloaded to your CAMS Enterprise \ Portal Updates directory.

If you do not (or have not yet) customized your portals, follow these instructions: MOVE all files from the CAMS Enterprise\Portal Updates\[PortalName] folder to the installation directory for the matching portal. Do not copy the folders but only the files in those sub-folders to the same sub-folder in the matching portal folder.

If you do customize your portals follow these instructions: After making a backup of your customized portal pages, move the stock portal files for this update to the installation directory for your specific Portal. Then apply your customizations to the new, stock portal files.

 

Faculty Portal

  1. Changed the output message for Co-Requisite checking on the cePortalEnrollem.asp page to be more user appropriate.
  2. Updated numeric comparisons to accurately determine whether GPA meets pre-requisite requirements.
  3. Revised procedure to produce complete faculty advisor list of students when sole Faculty members are assigned multiple advisor identities.
  4. Faculty were receiving a warning when registering students that the course was a repeat even if the student had not taken the course previously. This has been corrected and now will only give the warning if the course is an actual repeat.
